Description
Organic Uji matcha from Kyoto, Japan, crafted from shade-grown tencha of the Yabukita and Saemidori cultivars and stone-milled in Uji. JAS certified organic and blended for consistency at scale, it offers smooth texture, stable brilliant green color, and balanced umami suited to professional preparation — a dependable ceremonial grade organic Uji matcha ideal for café service, usucha, and matcha lattes. Origin Uji, Kyoto Prefecture, Japan — the historic center of Japanese matcha cultivation. Certification JAS certified organic (Japanese Agricultural Standard), covering organic cultivation and processing in Japan. Cultivar A blend of Yabukita and Saemidori — Yabukita for classic body and structure, Saemidori for color clarity and soft umami. Harvest Primarily first spring harvest (ichibancha), with a smaller second-flush component selected to keep quality and availability consistent. Cultivation Shade-grown tencha, raising chlorophyll and amino acid content for a brilliant green color and smooth taste. Grade Ceremonial grade — whisk as usucha or prepare as a premium matcha latte. Production Traditionally stone-milled in Uji into a fine organic matcha powder to preserve aroma, color, and texture. Taste profile Smooth, creamy, and refined: rich umami and natural sweetness with a touch of brief, clean astringency and a clean finish. Preparation Whisk 1.5–2 g with hot (not boiling) water for usucha, or with milk or oat milk for a latte. Packaging Packed fresh in a resealable 250 g pouch; keep sealed in a cool, dark place and refrigerate after opening.
